Members responded to someone newly diagnosed with ADHD inattentive type after a stroke by suggesting that RA-related brain fog could be mimicking ADHD symptoms, with several describing their own experiences of severe distraction, trouble concentrating at work, difficulty processing conversations, and feeling unable to wake up throughout the day. Many community members shared practical validation, including needing children to repeat themselves multiple times, feeling ridiculous levels of fogginess that halt productivity, and one member suggesting trying ADHD medication as a diagnostic tool since it produces different effects depending on whether true ADHD is present. A recurring theme was the importance of distinguishing between stroke-related cognitive changes, RA brain fog, and ADHD, with members offering emotional support, prayers, and reassurance that these cognitive struggles are real and shared within the community.

Yes I would say that qualifies. I have to ask my children to repeat themselves several times before it sinks in so I understand you struggle.

@A myRAteam Member brain fog is definitely a thing. When I read these articles that I was talking about. I was like 'AHA that's why I have been so distracted and had trouble concentrating lately." I was seriously considering asking my PCP about taking something for my inattentiveness because it was becoming a problem at work. Now I just try to redirect my self.
