I am sero negative and I was on methotrexate for 4 years but did not tolerate it well. so now am on Humira
In August of 2020, I developed severe pain from my left glute muscle through the front of my thigh and down past my knee. I had previous to that been doing ladder work cleaning and painting. Received physical therapy and There was a 70% improvement

Methotrexate worked on its own for the pain I had for my first 3(?) years of RA treatment but it took 8 weeks. So, after time passed pain hit me for some reason while I was taking methotrexate + otc supplements. My rheumatologist started me on Humira as another Rx to add to the others. Humira immediately got rid of the problems after the first use...
several years later pain came back a little? My methotrexate dosage was lowered from 25mg a week to 20mg a week. Lessening the Methotrexate cured the issue and I do not have pain. Lowering Methotrexate is what I needed. Maybe some day I will be taken of Methotrexate if the dosage needs to continue to lower(?).
I never had sciata tests but the Methotrexate was adjusted. My sensitive area has always been my feet.

I’m not sure on a leg nerve test however I have had the carpal tunnel EMG. The pain isnt too bad from the test. I was talking with the doctor and we were laughing talking about all sorts of things. The worst part for me was a hour after EMG, my arm was sore. I tookIbuprofen and found relief.
