My fingers & toes are locking up more & more. My rheumatologist says it’s not RA, but what I read on the condition, it is. I’m so confused!

Locking up sounds like Trigger Finger. Is your fingers making a hook and have to pull with the other hand to unlock it? Honestly I feel like the tight tendon in my left hand and the two trigger fingers i had were because of my hand tissues being inflamed from having RA. I feel like the Sx I had could have been avoided if only back then I knew I had RA. Do you wake up with your fingers in a hook?

I would wake up and my trigger fingers were in a hook however I was always able to take my other hand and pull the finger straight. I had SX in November for Carpal tunnel and two trigger fingers. Have you tried doing tendon glide exercises for the trigger fingers? it may help :)

I saw my rheumatologist today. He still claims it’s not RA related- sending me to a hand surgeon. Since January it has gotten progressively worse. I really like my dr, my husband wants me to find a new dr in a bigger city. He did put me on hydro chloroquine with my Humira - said I should be on an additional med with Humira. I don’t know what to do- I know with Trigger finger, the fingers could eventually lock permanently in that position- it’s affecting 8 of my fingers- and some toes!

Mine do too. Noticed this with my flare. Never had it before this.
