Hi! I just found out that I have RA severly in my ankles and feet. I was diagnosed bya foot and ankle doctor. I don't see a rheumatoid doctor until june.
Also can you have it in your knee?
Epsom salt soaks, great pair of shoes and elevate those feet
Hi Angel2! In answer to your question, yes, you can. Any joint, muscle or connective tissue is fair game. :(
If you can take Aleve, try that as an anti-inflammatory and for pain. It works well. Voltaren gel as a topical works well too. And of course there is heat and cold therapy - 20 mins of your choice. Try it every couple of hours if swelling is bad. I find cold works for swelling and heat for stiffness.
Adding you to my team. Feel free to add me to yours! Gentle hugs!
Tramadol for pain and I find wearing socks to bed also helps.
Ibuprofen will work, but you need to take so much for it to help, and too much is never good for the kidneys. My Orthopedist has me take 500 mg 3 times a day if I need for pain/inflammation. Maybe try that until you can get the Aleve (store brand usually works just as well).
Let me know how things go, and if you want to talk, I'm here!
Gentle hugs!
