I've been in a 6-month flair now, I was diagnosed with ra at the beginning of the year. I just started the methotrexate shots, last week was my second shot. A few hours after administering the shot, I was feeling sick. I have the flu but the doctors misdiagnosed me as having a reaction to my methotrexate shot. Since they misdiagnosed me, it is too late to give me medication to help me with the flu and I have to wait it out. The flu is mild.

Voltaran (sp) cream is basically ibuprophen cream. It helps me. I hope you find some useful answers soon.
I was informed that it takes 6-12 weeks for the methotrexate to really start working. I have had 4 doses of pills (once a week) and my flair's are still strong
