My Rheumatologist suggests that I space out the Covid vaccine with the depo medrol shot. I’ll be getting my vaccine on this Saturday. Feeling a bit nervous right now.
Got my booster yesterday. So far no side effects.
I had Pfizer shots in Feb. without a problem
I was very nervous when I went because I have a very low platelet count. The doctors all told me to get it. Yea I know😩, I received the phizor both doses and it’s been a month and so far no problems.
Good luck, you should be fine.
I have had both doses of the Moderna vaccine. I had a rough time with the second dose, but my side effects weren't any worse than the side effects that my friends without RA in my age group (early and mid-thirties) have reported.
I recommend blocking out a day or two after your second dose, just in case. My symptoms (a bad headache and muscle pains) started 13 hours after the second dose and lasted for roughly 24 hours.
My rheumatologist strongly recommended I get vaccinated, and I am glad I did. I think the benefits outweigh the potential short-term side effects.
