I was told by my disability attorney that if you have to be out of work more than twice a month due to RA there are no jobs your qualified for, which means you'd get disability. No one wants to hire someone who misses that much work. You need med records from rheumatologist to corroborate it of course.

I'm going thru disability hearing. Took forever! Years! Was diagnosed unable to work at age 23, got good treatment, went back to work, now reapplying. You can get disability attorney. They get some of your backpay as payment if you get approved. They get nothing if you're denied.

I got a lawyer that advertised on tv!! Got 2 doctors notes ... I had been on STD then LTD... the Soc Sec Disability. So I guess they figured I wouldn’t be able to go back to work!
But then I got Medicare.

Here in the UK with our present Government they changed the rules, to be able to claim the mobility part of the benefit you have to prove that, even with using aids ie walker or walking sticks, you cant walk more than 20mtrs and thats just one part of the rules and there are plenty more. All they are interested in was saving money and yeah the worse off in the country are easy targets. We see stories in the news about disabled people even without having legs, getting their benefit stopped.
