Any Suggestions Finding A Rheumatologist W/out Having Health Insurance?

A myRAteam Member asked a question šŸ’
Pensacola, FL

Moved cross country 2 years ago, and have been unable to work a full-time job due to RA. Therefore I do not have access to healthcare benefits through work. Have been off meds for over a year now, and have gotten worse. Any suggestions where to search or how to find help with and affording a doctor? Feel like I'm starting my progress all over and I need help in the right direction.

- Local Resources: Look for state programs or foundations like the Patient Access Network Foundation or the HealthWell Foundation that may help cover costs.

If you have a medical center, call and inquire about a clinic. Else, some doctors will offer discounts for those without insurance. You don't haver to see the RA doctor all that often And yes - contact the pharmaceutical company about any Patient Assistant programs for complimentary medication. Believe me - you apply and you will be surprised that they will include you in the program for free medication. Good luck.
