I'm looking for feedback on those who have tried Rinvoq. Did it help with joint pain, how long did it take for you to notice it was or wasn't helping? How long did your doctor have you stay on it to see if it's effective? Any side effects? Any input is appreciated. Thank you.
I was on Rinvoq for six weeks before i had to stop it due to an extremely serious infection as a complicatoin from a fall. Going cold turkey proved it had not done one thing in that six weeks, but I know I need to give it more time. I have not been on it for about five months now because I'm too paranoid about the wound, which finally closed a couple of days ago, getting infected again. I have never had an infection like I had, which landed me in the hospital on 24-hour IV antibiotics for five days. With teh coronavirus going around, I want to make sure I don't make my immune system, what little there is, worse.
I will be starting back on it, probably in a couple of weeks. I have to get labs done againbefore I start it.
At least this one didn't make me worse.
I've had an actual face to face appointment with my Rheumatologist. He took me off Rinvoq. Thank God. It wasn't helping with anything. The cramps in my legs and flare up of RA and Osteoarthritis have made me wish and beg for death. He started me on Prednisone, still won't let me take Diclofenac due to possible heart issues, gave another script for Etodolac and added in Skelaxin for my back. I'm in the process of packing for a major move and new job. The pain has decreased but nowhere near tolerable levels. I just cheated and took some Diclofenac. I hope I'll feel better in an hour. Thanks ya'll.
I've been on it for nearly 4 weeks. Absolutely no improvement and my legs and knees are swollen and more painful.
Let me know how well the medication is doing, nothing has helped me yet.
