My joints get excruciatingly itchy
It’s impossible to ignore
I have mentioned it to my specialist but he says he’s never heard of it before
There’s no correlation between heat/skin sensitivity/ or even food

Has anyone had this - ps nothing to do with dry skin etc

Members connected over the frustrating experience of deep joint itching that feels impossible to scratch, with several confirming that their rheumatologists recognized it as a common symptom of rheumatoid arthritis, particularly in the fingers and knees. Several members shared practical remedies that have helped them find relief, including Penetrex cream, peppermint essential oil, and consulting with an allergist to rule out food sensitivities that might trigger joint discomfort. A recurring theme was the validation of knowing others experience this bizarre sensation too, especially when doctors dismiss or overlook it.

I have this in the joints in my fingers. It’s like a really deep itch that you can’t scratch. My rheumatologist said it’s common with RA.
