Anyone taking Kevzara or had taken it? How long before you had some good results? Does/did it work? Side effects? Thanks!

Members responded to someone asking about Kevzara, an injection targeting Interleukin-6 for rheumatoid arthritis, with most sharing their own medication journeys rather than direct Kevzara experience, though one member offered hope by mentioning success with Actemra, another IL-6 drug that worked well before raising liver enzymes. Several members described their current treatments, including Xeljanz, Simponi, Orencia with methotrexate, and Enbrel, with experiences ranging from dramatic next-day relief and years of remission to ongoing struggles with side effects, insurance battles, and the frustrating trial-and-error process of finding the right medication. A recurring theme was solidarity and encouragement for someone on their seventh medication in two years, with members expressing genuine hope that Kevzara would be the one to finally work.

Glad to hear people have good results with biologics. Kevzara is really different as it targets Interleukin 6 in the immune system and it is only for people with RA. I've tried so many, I'm hoping this works!

I was on Actemra as well. I got neuropenia. Had to go off. Guess I didnt realize it had to do with interleukin 6.

Hi @A myRAteam Member! I haven’t tried Kevzara but I’m curious as to how it will work for you — I hope it’ll work really well! I was on Actemra for a while, which is also an Interleukin-6 drug, and that was the best drug I’ve ever been on. I had to go off of it because it raised my liver enzymes. Hoping for the best for you!

Never heard of the one you asked about. Is it a injection or pill??? Xeljanz is my 5th drug. Had reactions to several. Good luck and keep us posted on results

Sorry Kevzara...I have not heard of that. I am on methotrexate and HydroxychlorthiaZide. I also use CBD under my tongue plus I vape CBD during the day.
