Have been taking for the last 3 weeks. So far I am still dealing with side effects. MD said it could take a few months before we would know if it is working. I am having abdominal pain, headaches, and very weak. I am still able to hold on to my employment as a nurse in a small hospital working 12 hour days. Praying for the best for you.

Arava was the first med I was put on. It did absolutely nothing for me - and I tried it for six months. That said, I've had problems with many biologics. Either they make me really sick to my stomach, they intensify my symptoms or they do nothing. I do hope it works for you.

I took methotrexate and it made me feel awful. I have been taking Arava for about six weeks now. It doesn't make me sick but it doesn't help that much either. I switched my insurance to an medicare adv. plan that helps more with drug costs so I can go back on enbrel, which is the only thing that's helped me so far.

Been on Arava for 2 years. Feeling good, haven't experienced side effects.
