I have several friends who use elderberry syrup to boost immunity throughout the cold and flu season and they swear that they never get sick while using it. I read somewhere that it may not be good to use it when you have an autoimmune disease because it ramps up the immune system too much. I am confused, since we do use flu shots to boost immunity. Can anyone clear this up?

That does sound a little confusing. I take the flu shot though. I think the best thing to do is to ask your Rhumy
