Has anyone ever gotten cysts on the kidneys? If so, were you told it was from the RA?
Wouldn’t be overly worry about such a small simple kidney cyst. Follow ur docs recommendations for followup ultrasounds to monitor any size increase if he even thought that was necessary (prob 1 year, then every other to 3) just cause of ur young age. If u were 60 they’d prob not even do any followup imagines unless pain occurs in future. Best wishes
I have a 14 mm right kidney cyst. Nephrologist said not related to RA nor RA meds.
He said Age causes it. Extremely common condition as 20% of even totally healthy 50+ yr olds have simple kidney cysts...vast majority never know it. 10.4% incidence in total population, so even younger folks have, just much less common.
Typically they’re left alone unless they grow large enough to infringe on other stuff which could cause pain, if not, best to leave them alone my kidney specialist said. Best wishes.
@A myRAteam Member. Thank you for the shout out! I appreciate it. Once I got RA I thought one thing I could do, cause I sure can’t cure myself, is help others with this same disease best I can. Best wishes to you!
PS how’s things in Hotlanta lately? We lived in Johns Creek for many yrs right before moving to TX in 2012. I really miss my seasons tickets to the Falcons (no pro team here in San Antonio 😩). When we first moved to Atlanta in ‘93, “Neon” Deion Sanders lived three houses away from us. Loud parties over there 24/7...LOL...true story.
