I Have Been Diagnosed With RA Last Year. I Have Contrlolled Epilepsy. The Epilepsy Started Again.. Is Epilepsy Part Of Autoimmune Disease?
gotcha, I hope all goes well
Thank you Nick, I have had epilepsy since I was 12years old. It was well controlled with medication for the past 7 years. I was just wondering if the RA or other autoimmune disease could trigger it because in the past week I had a couple of Petit mall seizures.
Epilepsy is a sympton as well as an illness.
Since dx with ra I have suffered spasms and altered states. I've been put on anti seizures meds and now mostly ok
Epilepsy is not an illness. If you have 2 or more unprovoked seizures you are labeled epileptic. Anybody can have a seizure but the question is epileptic seizure, talk to a neurologist. It is caused by your nervous system, your brain. I would not count on this board for epilepsy answers. I have been living with epilepsy for 70% of my life due to tbi, 20 years before RA started.
Epilepsy is not a disease but I am not the one to claim to know "side effects". Seizures? Maybe your RA drugs lower efficiency of seizure meds. Talk to your neurologist. All you will get on myrateam.com is opinions, such as interpretations from experiences.
Thank you Carl.
