The throbbing is from swelling in the joint space. Elevate above heart level and use a gel ice pack to mold to the top of your foot.

I hadn't heard of prednisone until I started on this site. Unless its known by another name here in the uk . My feet and wrists tend to be the worst to flare .but since I've been off work I haven't been bad at all . So I've worked it out after almost 40years of pain I'm allergic to work lol xxx hope you find some relief soon darling xx

My recliner is right beside a register. So the floor stays cold. I turn my chair around to the register and the cold air blows on them.. that cold air feels good. I have put my feet on a ice pack. That helps cool them down too.

Heating pads if heat works well for you, otherwise icing. It's painful but do try to stretch if you can - I really find stretching overall helps so much. Prednisone for short term relief, too. Hope you find relief soon!
