Hi, I was on Humeria but I am now going to start xeljanz I am wondering if anyone knows how long you wait to start taking Xeljanz after your last dose of Humeria, My specialist is out of town. I appreciate any info. Thanks

I had to wait about a month after stopping Remicade to start Xeljanz since Xeljanz is a different drug. I would wait for your rheumatologist since you cannot be on a TNF Alpha inhibitor and a JAK inhibitor at the same time.

I don't think you have to wait any certain time frame to start a new biologic. I was on Cimzia injections for 5years, then was doing well so I was taken off it for about a year until the pain got unbearable again. I have been on xeljanx XR for about 7 months now and doing much better at this time,. Good luck.

Thanks for the Hug, prayer & joke Sam but you are right that is not really the answer I am looking for, If anyone has done a switch from different treatments(biologics) I would love to know how long you waited between starting the new treatment after the last dose of old one. I'm not asking for medical advice just how others transitioned to the new one. Thanks again
