I didnt start it yet. I stopped my Humira 2 months ago cause I didn’t think it was working, but I’m so much worse since stopping it. The Dr. prescribed me Orencia, but now I’m confused on which shot to do.

Oh, I self inject weekly and take no other meds other than occasionally prednisone and disfuneral and baclofen. I may add plaquenil back.

I just restarted Orencia after stopping for hip surgery. I was on it for nearly two years and my inflammatory markers normalized and I was doing well. I also have degenerative oa and hip dysplasia. So hip replacement was necessary. Unfortunately my other hip degenerated in the 6 months off the med. It helps my hands feet etc. I've had 8 plus operations on my feet and so far can only take Orencia as they suspect I have MS or another seizure disorder. It takes a while to work. Be patient. Good luck. I seem to be gaining some weight this time but I need it. I did not gain any weight before. I just saw this and hope you are on some medication by now.

I was switched to Orencia weekly injections about 12 weeks ago. I can’t say that it has helped yet. I was in simponi for a few years. First infusions and then monthly needles at home. I don’t have any side affects. Just hoping and praying it kicks in soon as I have had very sore hands this past few weeks. Have you started on it ?
