Members responded to someone experiencing severe foot and toe pain by overwhelmingly suggesting it could be gout, particularly since gout is commonly associated with rheumatoid arthritis and high uric acid levels. Several members shared their own experiences with RA affecting their feet, describing symptoms like redness, swelling, and pain that moves unpredictably throughout the body, often worsening with weather changes and cold climates. A recurring theme was the unpredictable nature of RA, with pain migrating to different areas without warning, and the importance of seeing a doctor for proper diagnosis since many conditions can begin in the feet.
