I also have gotten relief from the Salon Pas patches. Crazy that I need them when I take Prednisone and recently started taking generic Plaquinil (slowly weaning from the Prednisone so I take both currently). I only use the Salon Pas patches when I'm having a real bad flare up but they work quickly (for me). I have PMR-which effects both shoulders. It feels like someone is hanging on to me pulling down on my shoulders all the time. I hope you can find some comfort soon.

It is so critical that we get the benefit of imaging technologies to determine the cause of situations like this! A simple xray could have seen my 3 degenerative vertabra. For 2 years I took Lyrica for nerve pain down arms, told I had fibromyalgia. NOT. finally got the MRI . No reason to guess when they can determine cause. Don't want to exercise soft tissue damage if it hurts. Try soothing treatments like heat/ice til you get in to DR and may need primary to order imaging. RA Dr should know the difference when testing range of motion if it is in the shoulder joint. Feel better my friend. ❤️

I had neck and shoulder pain with a constant headache for seriously 2-3 yrs. I did everything under the sun, went to numerous Drs, took numerous medications. Finally my primary Dr put me on Lyrica which has totally changed my life! I think its part of my fibromyalgia. I have extremely tight muscles in my upper back/shoulders which causes the pain and headache. Massages also help and I frequently use a heating pad. Hope this helps.

I have had this recently and the hospital finally did a mri scan. Two of my vertebra are locked maybe due to whiplash or collapsed into each other. I would go to your rheumatologist.

I have been having severe pain in the neck and shoulder blades. I put Salon Pas pain patches on and it helped tremendously. My experience has been that the patches will not burn if placed where they are needed. Hope you find something to get relief...
