You're fortunate to have such an understanding boss. I retired 15 years ago and if I hadn't, there is no way I could hold down a job now. Most days, I am just too tired. Maybe once every two weeks I get a surge of energy and do chores like crazy but then I pay dearly for pushing like that. This is such a difficult disease and it's almost impossible to explain it to someone who hasn't experienced it. I think your doctor's explanation is such a good one.

Amen. You are so right! It is a hard thing to explain. Sometimes I am so miserable with the RA. Those around me make me feel like they think I'm just putting on!

I agree with everything Connie said but sometimes I hit a wall and just need to rest. My employer allows me to work from home twice a week (sometimes more) and thst way I can nap between meetings or on my lunch. Without these wfh days I don't think I could make it to the office the 3 days a week I go in.

My doctor has reminded me many times that my body is working twice as hard as everyone else to just be functional. The fatigue is a real reminder of this.
