barbaraf I have been on prednisone, methotrexate but the longest has been Humira. I stopped prednisone because I was blowing up like a puffer fish. Got pulled off methotrexate after I got cancer. I can't take Humira all the time like I'm suppose to because I get a lot of infection.
I've had RA for about 22 years & starting too have neck trouble. RA hits just about everywhere over time.
My neck hurt me for a year too the point I could not turn my head so my doctor said it felt more like the muscle and she sent me to PT. I really enjoyed the massages but did not think the treatment in 8 sessions was going to do anything it would feel good when I left and then a few minutes right back to pain. Well it worked and I have not had a minutes trouble with it again and that has been over five years ago. She said it started with my fibro and had gotten into the trap so am good now and really believe in the PT
perhaps you can try pilates to maintain range of movement and physio help a lot for a shoulder injury that keeps degenerating
