Burning And Itching?
anyone get a burning itching feeling in your feet? its not a fungal infection I had dr check it. drives me nuts
Estelle @A myRAteam Member, I think you will find it’s inflammation. That was one of the first bizarre indications i had something wrong. It felt as though I was wearing socks when I wasn’t and the feeling crept up my ankles over time. I had many tests to find out what was wrong. I would get up in the middle of winter and run cold water over my feet to ease the burning (like sunburn inside). My Rheumatologist sent me for a bone scan and that picked up high levels of inflammation in both hands and feet. I still get it even on all the meds, Methotrexate, Enbrel etc. and my blood tests still reveal high inflammation so higher dose Methotrexate hopefully will make it subside.
Mention it to your Rheumatologist and discuss your blood results with him as they will indicate if you have high inflammation. Good luck. I have added you to my team so I can see how you get on. Mary
I itch a lot. Cortisone cream has become my friend. It is bad a t night. Just another thing RA does to us!

I have itching burning pain in feet also. I have neuropathy
I reacently tried toneless compression socks....and it has helped quite a bit. I wear them during day and its been several weeks now that I haven't been awaken by foot pain during the night
I have neuropathy and i take 800 mg of Gabapentin at night. Takes about an hour to go into effect but takes care of burning thru next day, helps to sleep too. Sometimes I have to supplement with dropper of CBD oil to get to sleep
