Arthroplasty What Is The Difference When They Call The Surgery A Replacement?
I have had 3 joint replacements due to my R A Disease,is this the same as Arthoplasty? My orthopedic surgeon use to work with bone cancer at the university. He came highly recommended! I have had pretty good results, but not a 100 percent. My left hip replacement was not the average replacement, and I had to have a blood transfusion. We talk after, because I am going to have my right hip done soon.Should I ask him about this procedure called Arthroplasty?
Rozell. ..Talk to your dr. I have had the knuckles in my left foot cut or chipped away. What does he hope to achieve? Have you had a second opinion? Don't just accept their word, research as much as you can. Satisfy yourself. Prayers. I also read about Arthroplasty.
Yes learning the hard way myself. My first RA Dr was not informative or ready to listen. Took me 4 months to get to a new Dr. My niece went to this clinic, she has lupus. Saw a different Dr but really very caring....even the staff.
I am still learning about this disease, but finding they are as well. We all have similar issue but odds ones as well.
For awhile I was getting severe Charlie horses in odd places, hands, side below rib cage and foot. I mentioned it to the Dr and she said many of her patient's complain of that but medically there had been no connection. They can go by our experience if they want, I finally don't feel like it is in my head. I just tell her what my issues are and she listens.
I never heard of it but hit the hilighted word and pretty good info came up. Looks like it is done when the damage is done and meds are not working.
You sound like like a strong person. Right now my fatigue and mindset set is to be alone. I have always been a people person, and wanted family around now content to just be alone.
