It shocks me. If there are only 1.3M people in the U.S. with Rheumatoid Arthritis, is that 1.3M divided by 100 and all of the types have roughly the same number of patients. Does one TYPE have more than the others? It is fascinating to me that I can't find these answers in one place. I keep looking!

Well, i think it's one of the first things we should know about RA.. The docs i ve seen don't have clear answers and it's always like "each has different syptoms", "this is an atypical case but it happens", "this is an easy case, you're lucky", "this is a highly deforming ra you've got" etc.. I mean totally different opinions! I guess there are things they don't even know and they just give vague but certain answers, saying everything and nothing.. I would prefer a doctor who would say "i don't know, I ll look it up".. or whatever. When I was first diagnosed doctors were confusing me with different med formulas, so i had to search, learn, choose. And i ll keep doing that.. hoping for the best!

WOW i didn't know there was that many types. I knew there was one or two,but never in my life did i realise there was a 100. It is frightening isn't it. My new rheumy wants me to join him in creating a support group in the hospital,i don't know what he wants me to do,but it is something i have been banging on for a while so we will see.xxxx
