I start Remicade iv infusions on Friday. Has anyone had any success with this and what are some of the side effects. I am also taking Luflomide as well as Prednisone.
Thank you all

Members shared overwhelmingly positive experiences with Remicade for rheumatoid arthritis, with many describing it as life-changing and highly effective for periods ranging from two to ten years before some eventually developed reactions or needed to switch medications. Several members emphasized that Remicade significantly reduced inflammation, prevented flares, and restored their quality of life, with one member describing infusions as a mandated mini break to relax and read. A recurring theme was cautious optimism, with members wishing the original poster success while acknowledging that what works for one person may not work for another, and that bodies can sometimes develop reactions over time.

I was on Remicade for 10 years. It worked great for both my arthritis and for my ulcerative colitis. I only came off it because my previous rheumatologist messed around with the schedule and made it difficult for me to restart it so my new rheumy has switched me to Humira. But it was fantastic! I had no side effects and it worked really well. I used to view it as my mandated mini break - I made it a policy not to bring my laptop but to bring a good book and just sit and read and relax during the infusion! It was lovely!

I began Remicade infusions in April, 2017. I will have my 12th infusion this Thursday and have them every 9 weeks. In addition I take 3 Methotrexate every week. Remicade has given me my life back. My inflammation levels are near the normal range and I have not had a severe flare since I began the infusions. What works for one person doesn't always work for another. I have been fortunate Remicade continues to work for me. Wishing you the best!

I was on Remicade for 5 years and suddenly I had a severe reaction. I long for those days when it worked well. I am also unable to Luflomide. Good luck. I felt my best in those 5 yeats.

I had Remicade for ten happy years until my body said try something else! So I have been on Actemera for four years now! Both by infusion.
Both have worked for me.
