C reactice protein measures the disease activity of your arthritis. It is not good to have high C Reactive protein. It correlates to high inflammation. If it does not go down, nthen you need another meducation or combo of meds. If meds are working, it will reduce, but you never want to have this in your lab report
I have high levels of C Reactive protein in my blood but have I read up on this and I don’t think it’s a disease but simply a substance your liver produces because of the inflammation of the disease. Basically they test for this to get an idea of how bad your inflammation is with your RA. I think all people have it but people like us have a higher reading than what is considered normal. Mine is always about twice the normal amount
I am asking for a change in my medication. Doctor kerps reminding me that I am on the safest meds, but it no linger works. I will take that chance.
Best wishes to you. You were nit on RA meds at that time, but many of the meds have warnings about bloid disorders.
