I’m on actemra and I know getting a piercing is a terrible idea but I really want one. Has anyone gotten a piercing on actemra? Did you get an infection?

I have been on Actemra for a few years now and it has helped a lot. I have very few flare ups and no side effects.

I had 2 surgeries will on Actemra and didn't get an infection. But if you have MRIs or other scans they will make you remove them. I now have a plate and 5 screws in my foot . Do they count. You may be getting hardware in your future.

I have an infected tooth and need a root canal. I just started Actemra in June after being on Simponi for years. This spot has been on my gums and i was worried it was cancer. My mom just passed July 31 from stage 4 lung cancer so when this sore lingered i was terrifyed. My rhumatologist just finally came put and said the treatments were probably keeping the sore from healing. Im a month over due now on treatments since dentists dont understand our urgency in getting things like this fixed immediately. I see him on the 26 but thats only the consult. Wholnows when the actual procedure will be and then the wait time after to start back on treatments. I ont be able to walk by then. I was actually able to get around without my cane. I wish the RA commnity would send articles on the importance of working with patients on DMARDS, Biologics, etc.
