Members rallied around someone struggling through a weekend without their tramadol prescription after their doctor's office forgot to call it in, offering over-the-counter suggestions including Aleve, a combination of Tylenol and ibuprofen, and Bayer Back and Body for temporary relief. Several members gently pointed out that the severe symptoms might be withdrawal from suddenly stopping tramadol and encouraged honest communication with family about needing help during the holiday visit. A recurring theme was empathy for the physical and emotional toll of managing pain without proper medication, with practical advice to call the answering service in future emergencies so no one has to go without their prescription on a weekend.

If you don’t have a lot of stomach issues.... this is what I used to take before I finally saw a rheumy and got on meds. 2 Tylenol and 2 ibuprofen, together, the mix will help the the inflammation and pain. My daughter in law is a nurse and when she has bad pain takes this combo. Sorry you’re having such pain. Hugs and prayers for you.

Try Aleve, and I'll keep you in my prayers also. I really feel bad for you Pamela. Be honest with everyone you see this weekend and ask for the help. No one I know reads minds or can feel the pain you are feeling. So thank everyone for the help you get and tell them how happy you are they are there with you. It will pick you up to have family around.

Do not find that the OTC NSAIDS are effective in reducing pain of rheumatoid arthritis. Advice from my PCP and Rheumatologist is lose weight and keep moving or you will lose it .
Injections in the joints with euflexxa and/or cortizone give only temporary relief.

i they forget then call the answering service and disturb their day off and have them get it called in you should not have to be without meds, next time maybe they wont forget so you dont have to call them on their days off.
