I began experiencing CPPS a few months after I was diagnosed with RA. That was almost 6 years ago.

Members connected over the experience of hip and pelvic pain alongside rheumatoid arthritis, with many noting improvement once RA treatment began and suggesting that hip and groin discomfort may be directly related to RA inflammation rather than separate conditions. Several members shared practical strategies including hip flexor stretches found online, physical therapy exercises done consistently each morning, exploring the Melt Method for psoas muscle issues, and trying ginger and lemon as a natural remedy, while also recommending imaging like X-rays or MRIs to rule out conditions such as avascular necrosis or osteoarthritis. A recurring theme was the importance of advocating for proper diagnostic testing, staying consistent with exercises even when pain-free, and recognizing that RA can affect the hips and pelvis in ways that mimic other conditions.

I read that RA affects the pelvis and hips. PsA affects the SPINE and much harder to deal with.

A lot of times if you have bad hips the pain will show up in the groin area first. Have your hips X-Rayed or get an MRI To make sure everything is ok with your hips.

Could be psoas muscle. Very common complaint. Melt method is great for fixing it.

So...do these abdominal pains feel like back pains, or feel like possible kidney inflammation?
I have had a kidney infection before and my back is aching again like it did then. I had not been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis back then. Or am I blaming too much on the RA?
