My Rheumatologist suggest the DASH Diet. I don't know what to do. My family dr will not help with this.

I don't know the answer to that I think as long as we have ra and continue the meds we're going to end up gaining weight I do know that I refuse to take steroids by mouth anymore I will only take an injection I will gain 20-plus pounds every time I put one of those pills in my mouth but if you find a good way to lose weight please let me know

Actually the DASH diet is for those with heart disease but the mediterrean diet is also the anti-inflammatory diet and that is suppose to help RA

My family Dr will not order it so I will have to wait until I see the rheumatologist again.

The DASH would be for your hypertension. I love the picture of your chihuahua we have one too! A nutritionist or dietician would be a great idea. I am thinking of seeking alternative medicine ideas myself
