Members enthusiastically shared their experiences using turmeric and probiotics to help manage rheumatoid arthritis symptoms, with many reporting reduced inflammation, improved digestion, and relief from medication side effects like methotrexate tummy. Several members offered practical tips including combining turmeric with black pepper or bioperine for better absorption, incorporating anti-inflammatory foods like ginger, garlic, and fermented foods, taking digestive enzymes before meals, and trying supplements like glucosamine, vitamin D, and magnesium alongside RA medications. A recurring theme was the value of taking a holistic approach that blends natural remedies with prescribed treatments, with members encouraging each other to consult doctors before starting supplements, share what works, and recognize that everyone's body responds differently to natural interventions.

I am of Indian/Pakistani heritage and tumeric has always been used in our cooking and for skin care. My Mum was very knowledgeable about the use and benefits of herbs and spices. She would make golden milk with milk, tumeric and honey which helped with sleep. For any ailment, if we said we were going to the pharmacy, she would say "my kitchen is a pharmacy". She did not dismiss medication but always tried natural remedies first. Many of them worked. For RA she advised me to continue with tumeric, eat more ginger and take black seed oil (from nigella seeds). These help.

I cook with turmeric powder add it to eggs , beans whatever I’m cooking .
I juice the whole fresh turmeric, ginger root , lemon and store the juice in refrigerator every morning I drink a glass of water as soon as I wake up on a empty stomach then I drink the juice adding black pepper.
No Gluten products have helped me!

I don't take probiotics per se by I eat kimchee, sauerkraut, yogurt or other fermented food at least daily. An yes, I take tumeric. Can't tell whether or not they help as I'm on MTX and infliximab and they likely are doing the heaving lifting when it comes to relief from RA. I'm convinced that fermented foods have health benefits. I also eat whole grains daily🤍💛.
