Has Anyone Started Taking Celebrex And Was Taken Off Of It Suddenly For Possible Renal Kidney Failure?

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Charlestown, IN

I had blood work done and when the results came back my rheumatologist took me off Celebrex immediately because there was something high (I think creatine) and he was afraid of renal kidney failure. I hurt so bad for days after going off Celebrex. Any suggestions?

Wondering how your doing now, hopefully your kidney has returned to normal and your RA is under control

What else are you taking for your RA? Perhaps a low dose of a steroid might help. Call your rheumy and ask for an alternative to the celebrex
