Since going to the RA Dr for 46 years and going with 4 different drs.... I really doubt there is a way to treat all without going through a medical
Way of treatment. Be it biological or otherwise I choose to allow my rheumy to follow and advise me.

I've started juicing again and take numerous vitamins . I know it helps , but still have to stick with the other drugs . I had a really bad flare-up again and now looking at the Stemcell Research .

Yes yes and yes!!! You can! It isn't easy but I have achieved remission twice now going the holistic path! I have taken every medicine they have for RA and they only caused me more grief. Too much info to type here. I recently created a blog (I am so not a blogger). It is an easy way to share the information with others. I just created it but it has my diet, holistic treatments, supplements, etc on my journey to remission. My first remission was over 5 years. I then had stressful events that caused me to be sick again. I am now in another remission! If you have the drive and the determination, you can do it!

Pretty sure there are some foods to avoid that cause inflammation (nightshades), starchy foods, and there are other foods that help reduce inflammation like turmeric and ginger. Vit D3 is essential. I have tried different things I've discovered in my reading and don't notice much of a difference, but I guess every little bit helps. I have to stick with the big guns, and have no trouble with biologics. I have great insurance and that makes it possible.
