Cimzia And Hair Loss
I just started cimzia about a month ago and have noticed that I'm losing more hair than usual when brushing and washing my hair. Did anyone else experience this? What did you do to stop it? I already take a biotin supplement to help with methotrexate side effects. Thanks for your help!
I have severe hair loss first 2 weeks on Methatrexate. I doubled up on the folic acid (2,000mg) per the RA dr and am going to add 1,000 mg. of Biotin - pharmacist said that's ok to do.
@A myRAteam Member - ask your rheumy for a prescription of folic acid. I've been on methotrexate for 12 years and never had any hair loss.
Yes I am losing my hair on cimzac.
That's my worst fear, I take Methatrexate and that is a rare side effect. I check my hair and scalp everyday for bald patches.
My Doctor prescribed folid acid for side effects. Haven't had my hair to fall out yet.
