This keeps happening on and off... I am "on" again! My hands and feet itch/burn at night, tonight my feet have woken me, it is 3am and I am exhausted and going nuts, I could rub my skin raw for relief..:

Anyone else experience this?

Members shared their experiences with burning and itching hands and feet at night, a symptom linked to conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, fibromyalgia, and peripheral neuropathy that can be intense enough to disrupt sleep. Many members found relief through compression stockings or socks, topical remedies like Gold Bond lotion or lavender essential oil, cold water foot soaks or ice packs, and antihistamines like Benadryl before bed. A recurring theme was the frustration of managing this painful symptom while also finding creative ways to cope, including distraction through hobbies and experimenting with different strategies until something works.

I get my feet having a sudden uncontrolable itch that feels like it is on the inside of my foot. I never get the itching on both feet at the same time. I rub lavender oil on.my foot and take a fenetic tynelol pm, because it has benedryl in it. My right leg will burn alot more often these days because of previous multiple DVT's in that leg. Wearing a compression stocking for 12 to 24 hrs does the trick.

I will also ŵear a compression stocking on the left leg too if my legs are fatiqued really bad. Note: I never notice any itching episodes during and for a few days after wearing the stockings.

Check that you have the correct size compression socks. It's very important. Have your legs measured around your ankles, bottom of knee and length of leg. They don't work well if to tight or loose. With correct size you won't end up with stockings that strangle your legs or roll down. Big gentle hugs.
