Has Anyone Ever Taken Retuxan Infusions For RA?

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
St. Louis, MO

I have a history of cancer many years ago. Thus, I can't take the typical biologic treatments for RA. My rheumy wants me to try Retuxan infusions as a last resort. She says it would be the least likely one to cause a cancer recurrence. I'm very reluctant to do this. Has anyone had these infusions or heard of using Retuxan for RA??

I have been on
Rituxan for 10 yrs. it's the only treatment that worked for me. I used to get it very 6 months, 2 separate infusions at 2week intervals. I now get them every five months because I can't make it till 6months without being treated.

I have been on it for about three years now. It works great. I go for an infusion every six months. It has worked well for me.

Ive been on Rituximab for 4 year and it works for me, my hospital let you decide when you need the next infusion because they say it can stop working. I book my app when i start to hurt in my upper body and my fingers start sticking and i begin to get really clumsy
It works for me
Taking ages to get in though this year due to covid because the consultant wants an app with me first because i havent seen him for two years. My knees are burning and hurting so really need to get in. It does take time to work

I had first Rituxan treatment a month ago. So far, it has not started to work. I was told it will take about 50 days to start working. So far just more pain.
