It's hard to prevent flare ups.I get them an ponder on what I did to cause it.Ive realized that the weather has a lot to do with mine.Also over activity an I find it hard to limit my activities epically when Iam having a good day. Try keeping a record an see if you can track what causes yours As to how long they last mine can be days or weeks.Sorry I could. t be more helpful.Sending healing thoughts 😊

I depend on the prednisone to get me out of a flare. It usually takes me about 48 hours to come off of a severe pain so bad I cannot think flare, but I can still have worse than normal symptoms for about three weeks. Causes can vary, I suspect mine is related to my immune system. When infections start being passed around at work, I may flare. Stress and extreme cold are also triggers for me. If you are prone to stress and anxiety you might find that treating it will lesson the RA flares.

I have RA in many joints but my knees and ankles are pretty bad with regards to pain, stiffness, swelling and discomfort. For me, flare ups usually last a couple of days, and it's usually a result of my pushing myself too much, cold damp weather, or being stressed. To be honest I've not found much that does help apart from rest.

I need have flare ups. My RA is with me always,Never any relief unless I take Presidone

I have had RA for many year's. The pass 7 have been hell,excuse me but I know if no other way to explain it. I have tried every RA med u can try,Nothing helps but Presidone, it has caused me to gain 50 lbs,new one thyroid my family, Dr. Tells me if I continue on the Presidone I will have dibities,also have a mild heart problem.
I am a very 72 young woman but at this rate if all continues I will be dead in 5 years.
I have a good RA Dr but I think she has done all she can, nothing more.
My prayer is that my God will bless me and let me be able to take care of myself.
I hear people say that go I to remission. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN REMISSION ..
