I had my SSDI hearing 3 weeks ago & contacted SS to see if a decision has been made. They mentioned that my case is closed & a decision has been made & notification has been mailed. I'm anxiously waiting & not sure what to expect on the decision. Has anyone experienced this? What was your outcome?
If you are approved, your letter will come and within two weeks the money goes n your account. You should get your letter very quickly if they said a decision had been made. I did not have a hearing though. Was denied once, appealed and got it within three weeks.
@A myRAteam Member, you are given a date of disability. Mine was July 2015, so yes there is a five month delay, so I got back pay for seven months. My first denial took about a year from onset of award. I also waited the full sixty days to appeal.
