Anti Centromere B Antibody High

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Ina, IL

I finally got my lab work back, and have a followup for review with my rheumy. I am negative for lupus, scleroderma, sjogrens and
ra neg. The only blood work that was really off was the anti centromere b antibody it was quite high, and the alkaline phosphatase was high. Has anyone had these kind of results and still had ra. Thanks in advance for your help in sorting thru all the questions I have.

they show inflammation which is normal withRD. the MD looks at the differences and changes to these labs and how they relate to how you feel.

I just had lab work done on Monday so I was looking through my whole chart with 5 years of blood work and I found nothing called anti centromere antibody. The only antibodies I had on my chart were antinuclear antibody screen A and B and the Sjogrens test. The antinuclear antibodies were supposed to be less than 11 and mine both were around 5. I think they are testing you for something else?

When I researched that particular test it had to do with inflammation. I think it is part of the ANA panel that has several different tests under it.
