Only if you have infection .when I have an infection I have to stop my Embrel. Injections which I give myself once a week

They started me on some antibiotics when I was first diagnosed. They said they had to clear my body of... something, but then they stopped and put me on the regular RA meds.

There are certain ones they use to treat RA one of them is minocin it is in the tetracycline family of antibiotics I read about it being used for RA a couple days ago. I think there was another one but I don't remember the name it could have been the sulfasalazine someone mentioned earlier. It is for RA not an infection.

Sorry. I was told while I was on antibiotics to stop my Embrel injection but not my other Meds methetrexate.
