Has Anyone Experienced Elevated Liver Enzymes From Your RA Meds Or NSAIDs & If So What Was Your Treatment Options?

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
North Canton, OH

I found out today that my liver enzyme levels have more than doubled since the last time I was tested. I don't drink or smoke and exercise almost everyday. I take plaqunil and arthrotec daily but not a full dose of arthrotec. anyone else have liver enzymes and what was the treatment choice other than going off meds?

I went off the meds. Plaquenil was messing with my eyes. I became a dieabtic the doctor had to take me off of it.

My liver enzymes were up so I increased exercise and lost 10 pounds on Weight Watchers and my liver enzymes were normal. I have a recheck in July so I will see if that was the answer.

My infusion (Actemra) can raise your liver enzymes. My rheumy does monthly labs when I come in for my infusions because of this.
