Came to the right place I guess, was diagnosed with ra last spring, however after my first initial visit with rhemetologist I was handed off to his practitioner, after months and months of complaining feeling like I had something else going on besides ra because of all my muscle problems, chronic fatigue, widespread pain,I requested to see the original rhemetologist last month, was explaining my symptoms, he said oh that's your fibromyalgia, apparently I have both and was not informed. So now I'm on the same road is others, ok which one is causing what, research, research, blah. As I back track started about 10-12 yrs ago would have to say fibro showed up on the scene first with chronic leg and foot pain, occasionally numbness and tingling in both hands and feet, tired and sore muscles. Then the past few years of high stress, losing my mom and my sister and family problems too boot, they both either triggered one another into high gear, been trying to get the proper meds, which they all suck, can't take Lyrica made me feel awful, on methotrexate, steroids, plaquinill, folic acid,d3 for my ra. So now next appointment with my family dr for my fibro see what next step is. Does anyone have extreme hotflashes,I mean meltdowns that's not like from menopause, I feel like my internal thermostat is stuck wide open sometimes, can't be good thing to have going on either am I going to cook my organs? Lol only way I know how to explain it

I also have nuclear hot flashes not from hormones. Prednisone can cause them. Most meds can. I am sweating and bright red when everyone else are wearing sweaters and heavy clothing. It us embarrassing as it is so noticeable. I have started avoiding going places where this will happen. I basically have no social life anyway.

Oh boy, @A myRAteam Member it sounds like you're really in the thick of it. I too have ridiculous hot flashes. My gyno says my hormones are fine so by process of elimination I came down to the rituxan infusions I've received. I didn't see rituxan in your list of meds but did you start taking one of them around the same time you started getting hot flashes? That's how I tried to link my situation. Good luck to you!
