Being ever the tease I thought this question will raise a few eyebrows...lol.

Seriously, there are so many nights where my condition leaves me listless and sleepless.. I turn over and over again the events of the day until I'm so tired that when I do wake up the following morning I'm more tired then ever before and this affects my day and just adds to my fatigue.

As you may have guessed, my post is meant to be cheeky rather than naughty.so if I offended you, don't be.

Members connected warmly over the playfully titled post about using audiobooks and podcasts to manage sleepless nights caused by chronic pain and restless thoughts. Several members shared their favorite bedtime distractions, from Scott Sigler's sci-fi horror and Stephen King to BBC podcasts, classic sailing adventures, and even gardening shows, with many emphasizing how wireless headphones, phone timers, and free sites like Librivox help them drift off despite discomfort. A recurring theme was the power of humor and distraction to ease both physical pain and mental racing, with members celebrating the joy of 'sleeping around' with different authors and storytellers as a comforting nightly ritual.

I always listen to audiobooks or podcasts and I am a movie and TV fanatic. They really keep my mind off things, especially when I can't sleep. Add in an electric blanket plus a warm dog ... who needs sleep?

I went to bed with Purple Rain last night. The movie, not the book. Did some crying, but that helps put me to sleep sometimes. I fell off a planet also, Derek. That, or I'm just plain weird. Always have been, Enjoy your books everyone!

Melvin Brag or Laurie Taylor, can put me to sleep. Nothing like a good British accent on a Bbc4 podcast. Trouble is if I dose off I may have to start again, sometimes one podcast can last the whole night! Lol Weirdly enough I've become addicted to uk gardening podcasts.... Hardly relevant to Sydney climate! I have bookcases full of sailing adventures and mountaineering adventures . My family past and present are very much into sailing .
