I have a scooter. It isn't easy, but a good letter from your doctor should do the trick. The thing you have to remember is that the insurance company probably won't care if you need it outside of your residence. You have to need it to get around in your home. Of course, you can use it outside of the home, but you MUST need it in the home. I love my scooter. It has enhanced my life greatly.
LOL! My son is too, but I've never heard him say he could carry ME! But he is a dear, always so concerned for me, wanting to know if I need anything and most of all, he always lends me his ear-I can talk to him about everything!! What a blessing he is to me..
Also my son is an ox..he can carry a refrig up 3 flights of stairs by himself...he said not to worry if i want to go out for a stroll. Lol
I dont drive...its mainly for home. I have a transport one for drs appts
I am so happy for all of you! I never have given it much thought (too independent for my own good!) Now plz tell me just what are the "standards or qualifications" for getting one? I don't think I need one ALL the time, but I could sure use one today. Isn't that the way it goes with us, we Never know when we are going to be in a bad way?
