Members shared their experiences managing seronegative rheumatoid arthritis, emphasizing that treatment truly is trial and error since bloodwork often remains normal despite active disease visible on imaging like MRI. Several members described their current medication combinations, including methotrexate (oral or injectable), biologics like Humira and Orencia, diclofenac, and low-dose prednisone, noting that everyone responds differently and it can take multiple attempts to find what works. A recurring theme was the frustration of having pain and inflammation that doesn't show up in standard blood tests, the overlap of symptoms with conditions like lupus and fibromyalgia, and the importance of advocating for imaging and working closely with a rheumatologist to adjust treatment until relief is found.

@A myRAteam Member they found my RA in my hands and wrist by a MRI - I don't know what made the dr know to do that. People/doctors & nurses have asked me for several years "are you sure you don't have lupus" or "have you ever been diagnosed with Lupus" questions. I guess something in my blood work showed up the factors that RA and Lupus share.
