There are side effects for every med out there - even aspirin. Not everyone reacts the same way to them. The best thing is to listen to your rheumy as to what he/she is advising and trying them. I have been on RA meds for 11 years and have not had any trouble with any of them.

Not everyone develops the side effects. They just have to list them all even if only one person in a million developed it. Some people can't even take aspirin. Try them is your rheumy recommends them. It's better than the alternative of what no treatment will do to your joints.

Methotrexate made it so I no longer had to have both knees aspirated twice a year!

Thanks. My mom had terrible side effects. Doc wants to start plaquenil but the side effects can affect vision, since I dont see great now that scares me. Thanks for the input
