I used to a long time ago. It didn't really help me. I'm on a new antidepressant called Brintellix. It's a multiple mood medicine. I seem to do well with it, not as weepy any more.

I tried Elavil 26 years ago, before I was Dx'ed with fibromyalgia. I HATED the stuff! It made me gain over 100 lbs! The about 4 years later when my son was a toddler, a doctor made me go back on it. I slept 16 hours a day! And my little boy needed me& I wasn't there. A nightmare in a pill.

Thank you Mems. I hope it helps my anxiety a little too. I got Rx filled. 25mg but told to do half to start. Well, can't be any worse than the methotrexate.Hug to you.

I take it to help with nerve pain, but just at night due to sedation - it does help me to sleep better

I wasn't diagnosed until after I a freaking TKR and retired from my job. I was asked several times in the past did anyone have Lupus in my family. I said NO. All the symptoms that I now know and experience were present for years. After that TKR, I went downhill but through it all I am blessed
