Rheumatrex
I've been taking methotrexate for about two weeks well every Tuesday 6 pills .. how long before I feel the effects of it working. Is there side effects so far just nausea at times
It mayhelp if you split your methotrexate into 3 pills in the am and three at night. The stuff is pretty rugged on your stomach.
I eat 4 crackers with my methotrexate which helps. My rheumy also has me on a generic for Prilosec to protect my digestive tract from my meds. I no longer have acid reflux.
I take it in pill form since I have weekend off I take it half way thru dinner Saturday night and the just feel dragging the next day. I find if I have a good real dinner I sleep thru any bad effects.
I have been on Methotrexate shots for about two months. I started the full dose in December and had one day where I threw up. But since the. I have felt pretty good. A little tired the next day after the injection but nothing terrible. I have experienced relief. Very little pain and swelling. I have some breakthrough symptoms, but they are very manageable.
I've been on 7 pills once a week for over 3 yrs. now.. I was told it has something to do with the Remacade infusion I get every 8 weeks. Did you ask your RA doctor what you are supposed to feel taking it. How old are you? I've had NO SIDE EFFECTS from it.
