I am getting my first flu shot since being on a biologic on Tuesday of next week. I am nervous because I don't know what to expect and I fear having a bad reaction.Although, I have had flu shots every year since 1989 and never really had a reaction before but I haven't been on a biologic before either. Any tips for me beforehand? Should I take Tylenol before I get the shot? What do I need to look for, in terms of a reaction, only a high fever or flu-like symptoms? Thanks!

@A myRAteam Member Get your flu shot! Not to worry. You may get the same reaction to the shot you would have had prior to being on biologics. They would be minimum to getting the actual flu. Good luck!! : )
I got flu shot for ten years on remicade. No problems.
Make sure it's that shot not a quadrivalent or live vx.. Tell them what your on unless you are getting it at your rheumys .. Other wise it's just fine and necessary
Get your flu shot for sure!!! The shot is not a live virus. Do not get the nasal spray as it is live!! I did get the flu last year even with the shot and ended up with pneumonia.......it was a long recovery!!! Also the pneumonia shot as well!! Good luck!
I am on a biologic since 2008 and I get the flu vaccine every year. Its never been a problem. Good luck!
